Nature of the Service

This site is a private reference for locating Carter County and Kentucky custody, release, court, and supervision resources. It does not store official records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file an agency or court document.

Links and search tools may connect visitors to government resources or outside research providers. Those services remain separate from Carter County Released Inmates.

Acceptable Use

Visitors must use the site lawfully and without harming other people or the service. You agree not to:

• violate any local, state, or federal law;
• stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate a person;
• make hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated decision from site content;
• attempt access to accounts, systems, or data without permission;
• operate bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools; or
• interfere with site security, speed, or availability.

No Consumer Reports

Carter County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It provides no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither it nor its advertising partners offers screening services. You may not use site information for:

• hiring, firing, or another employment decision;
• tenant selection or housing eligibility;
• creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing;
• licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government benefit; or
• any other determination regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Links and Services

The site links to jail and release records, corrections portals, federal locators, legal resources, and third-party search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control or accept responsibility for another service's content, availability, data handling, or terms. Review that provider's policies before using it.

Service Provided As Is

All content and functions are offered “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that information is accurate, complete, or current; that access will be continuous; that the service is free of errors, harmful code, or security flaws; or that a partner search will be comprehensive.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement by CCDC, a court, Kentucky DOC, or another government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Carter County Released Inmates and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the site or an outside service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the site or your violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless stated otherwise, the text, graphics, logos, design, and code belong to Carter County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, redistributed, modified, or republished without prior written permission.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. Revised terms become effective when they are posted on this page. Continued use after publication means acceptance of the revision.

Access May Be Ended

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Kentucky Governing Law

These terms are governed by Kentucky law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Kentucky.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.
