This private reference site is not a Carter County or Kentucky office. We cannot confirm custody, obtain records, post bond, or release anyone. An authoritative answer must come from the office that owns the record.

Match the Office to the Record

Each office documents a different part of a Carter County case. Contacting the record owner avoids delay and prevents a jail roster, court order, or corrections status from being mistaken for the same document.

Carter County Detention Center and Jailer. Jailer R. W. Boggs and CCDC are the starting point for a county booking sheet, release entry, release timestamp, transfer notation, property record, or booking photograph. Write or visit at 13 Crossbar Road, Grayson, KY 41143, or call 606-475-1606. A records email, records-desk hours, release hours, photo fee, and public request form were not published. Call to confirm the accepted request method and office hours before traveling.

Carter County courts. The Office of Circuit Court Clerk holds individual case files, including bond orders, judgments, sentences, probation orders, and final dispositions. The Carter County Justice Center is at 100 E. Main St., Grayson, KY 41143. Circuit Court can be reached at 606-474-5191 and District Court at 606-474-6572. Published hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The local clerk, not the Administrative Office of the Courts, is the first custodian for an individual case file.

Kentucky Department of Corrections. DOC owns state offender movement, institutional release, discharge, and related offender records. Open-records requests may be sent to Kentucky DOC Open Records at correctionsopenrecords@ky.gov, P.O. Box 2400, Frankfort, KY 40602, or by fax to 502-564-9575. Consult KOOL and DOC Daily Releases before requesting a state record.

Probation and Parole. Community-supervision questions belong to the Kentucky DOC Division of Probation and Parole, not the jail. Carter County publishes 606-474-6141 as the local number. The District 15 resource manual routes Carter ZIP codes to Sandy Hook, while the official office directory supplies current navigation. Call to confirm the serving office and visit details.

Kentucky Parole Board. The Board owns hearing schedules and parole decisions; DOC handles custody movement and community supervision. Use the official hearing schedules. No Carter-specific Board office or local contact was identified, so confirm current contact instructions on the Board site.

VINE and registry help. Kentucky VINE custody information is available at 800-511-1670. DOC Victim Services help is available at 502-564-5061 or 877-687-6818. Kentucky State Police answers Sex Offender Registry questions at 502-227-8700. The registry is limited to people subject to registration and is not a general release database.

Federal and immigration records. A federal sentence belongs in the Bureau of Prisons locator and records system. Pretrial federal custody may require the federal docket or a U.S. Marshals Service FOIA request. ICE questions belong in the ICE Online Detainee Locator; the ICE Detention Reporting and Information Line is 888-351-4024 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. No dedicated ICE facility or Carter County ICE contract was verified.
